Lash Extension Care Guide
We take pride in delivering beautiful, long-lasting lash extensions—but proper home care plays a key role in maintaining your results and retention. Please review the information below carefully.
New to Lash Extensions?
We offer complimentary patch tests, which must be booked at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This is especially recommended for clients with allergies or sensitivities, or those who are new to lash extensions.
Allergies & Sensitivities
If you have a history of skin or eye sensitivities, please inform us prior to your appointment. We offer a sensitive adhesive option that may be more suitable for mild sensitivities. While no adhesive is completely hypoallergenic, our sensitive formula is designed to reduce the risk of irritation. A patch test is recommended for your comfort and safety.
First Time at Our Studio?
Please review and complete the pre-appointment forms sent via email. If not submitted online, arrive 10 minutes early to complete them in person. A downloadable PDF version is also available at the bottom of this page.
Arrive with Clean, Makeup-Free Lashes
Eye makeup—especially mascara—interferes with the adhesive bond. Arriving with mascara may require a full removal and a new set. To ensure optimal results, please come with clean, product-free lashes.
Contact Lenses
Contact lenses must be removed prior to your appointment. We provide lens cases and solution for your convenience.
Make Yourself Comfortable
Feel free to bring anything that helps you relax—headphones, cozy socks, or a blanket are all welcome.
Coming in for a Fill?
Give your lashes a thorough cleanse with the lash cleanser provided by your stylist before your appointment.
Fills are recommended when at least 40% of your extensions remain. Less than that may require a new full set. Speak with your stylist to determine the best schedule for your lash cycle.
Keep Lashes Dry for 24 Hours
Avoid water, steam, and sweat for the first 24 hours post-appointment. Shower shields are available—ask your stylist if you need one.
Clean Lashes Daily
Use the Lash Foam Cleanser provided to you to gently cleanse your lashes once a day. Clean lashes help prevent buildup and extend retention.
Avoid Oil-Based Products
Keep oil-based makeup, skincare, and removers away from the eye area. These break down the adhesive and cause premature lash loss.
No Picking or Pulling
Avoid touching, picking, or rubbing your lashes. Be gentle around your eyes at all times.
Skip Mascara and Lash Curlers
These can damage your extensions and natural lashes. The extensions are pre-curled and never require mascara.
Support Lash Health
Consider using a lash growth serum, alongside your extensions. Your stylist can recommend options suitable for your needs.
Watch Out for Heat & Humidity
Tanning beds, saunas, hot yoga, steam, direct water pressure, BBQ heat, and blow dryers can all weaken the lash bond. Be mindful around these heat sources.
Maintain Regular Fills
Lash extensions are a beauty commitment. For best results, schedule a fill every 2–3 weeks.
Excessive Fallout?
If you experience unusual lash loss within 5 days, please contact our Studio. In some cases, we may offer a complimentary touch-up.
If you received lash extensions from another salon, your appointment will be considered a foreign fill and additional time may be charged if required.
To ensure the health of your natural lashes and the quality of our work, we require a Foreign Fill Consultation prior to your appointment. This allows us to assess the condition, placement, and compatibility of your existing extensions with our techniques and products.
Please note:
In-House Fills
If you’re a returning client who received your last set from another stylist within our studio, this is not considered a foreign fill.
We proudly fill each other’s work, as all of our artists are trained to uphold the same level of excellence, technique, and lash health standards.
At our studio, we do not fill sets done with pre-made or cluster fans. We specialize in creating artisan, hand-made fans for each client, customized to suit your unique lash line and ensure optimal health and retention.
