Brow Treatment Pre/Post Care information

✨ Permanent Makeup (PMU) Care Guide

For best results and a smooth healing process, please review the following information carefully. A consultation is required prior to your appointment.

📅 Book a Consultation Ahead of Time

A consultation is required before booking your permanent makeup appointment. This ensures we understand your goals, assess your skin type, and review any medical considerations to determine if you're a good candidate for the service. Consultations can be booked online or by contacting our studio directly.

Before Your PMU Appointment

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours before your session to minimize sensitivity and bleeding.

  • Discontinue blood thinners (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, fish oil) 48 hours prior unless medically necessary.

  • No Botox, chemical peels, or laser treatments in the area for at least 2 weeks before your session.

  • Stay out of the sun for 1 week before. Skin must not be sunburned or peeling.

  • Avoid skincare with retinol, AHA/BHA, or acne treatments near the treatment area for 5 days before.

  • For brows: Avoid waxing, tinting, or threading the brow area at least 72 hours before.

  • For lips: Exfoliate gently and stay hydrated. If prone to cold sores, take antiviral medication as prescribed.

  • For eyeliner: Stop lash growth serums and remove lash extensions at least 1 week before your appointment.

After Your PMU Appointment

  • Keep the area clean and dry for 7–10 days—no makeup, water, or sweating on the treated area.

  • Do not pick or scratch flaking skin. Let it heal naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring.

  • Use aftercare ointment only as directed by your artist. Less is more.

  • Avoid heat and moisture exposure—no saunas, tanning beds, pools, or steam rooms while healing.

  • No active ingredients (retinoids, exfoliants, acids) near the treated area during healing.

  • Expect fading and peeling—color will soften as your skin heals. A perfecting touch-up will follow.

Healing Is a Process

Healing varies by skin type and lifestyle. Trust the process and follow aftercare to ensure the best results. If you notice unusual redness, swelling, or signs of infection, contact your artist and a medical professional immediately.

Touch-Up Appointment (4–6 Weeks)

A perfecting touch-up is required 4–6 weeks after your initial PMU service to refine the color, shape, and detail. Be sure to book your touch-up in advance, as availability is limited and time-sensitive.
